Buqaiq, November 2024 — ADES, a leading provider of offshore and onshore drilling services, has announced a strategic partnership with netzero, an environmental startup specializing in carbon offset through AI-powered tree planting, to plant 12,500 trees in Buqaiq. This initiative, in collaboration with Branches for Change NGO, Saudi Arabian Drilling Academy SADA, and His Excellency Muhammed bin Saud Al-Mathami. the Governor of Buqaiq, marks a significant step towards achieving the Kingdom’s environmental objectives.
The partnership underscores ADES’ commitment to sustainability and the Saudi Green Initiative, which includes planting 10 billion trees to help combat climate change and reach carbon neutrality by 2060. The project is aligned with ADES’ sustainability goals, including reducing carbon emissions, promoting environmental stewardship, and supporting local communities.
As part of the Saudi Green Initiative, this partnership will contribute to regional carbon offset goals, with each tree planted playing a key role in combating climate change and enriching the local ecosystem. By engaging local communities and stakeholders, this initiative aims to promote sustainable practices, raise awareness about the importance of carbon sequestration, and support long-term environmental goals.
